Sam Vederman drops Deena Blythe case!

Despite the four inch thick file La Paz County Prosecutor Sam Vederman would open up on the table at every court proceeding, he has suddenly dismissed all charges without prejudice (meaning they can be brought back up later), citing a lack of evidence to bring the Deena Blythe case to trial.

What has this lengthy investigation cost the taxpayers? Was Sam Vederman's intent to prosecute or persecute the disgraced local Town Council candidate? Is Sam Vederman so incompetent that he's not capable of arguing the case? After all, some lawyers are just glorified paper pushers that don't really like to litigate. Maybe he should have assigned the case to Thomas Jones and Jessica Quicle, the dynamic duo that secured a conviction against Quartzsite pedophile Richard Eugene Aaron in January of this year. (Prior to the debut of this blog.)

At Ms. Blythe's last court date, her attorney mentioned calling failed mayoral candidate Wes Huntley as a witness for the defense. What effect, if any did that make on the case? Inquiring minds want to know Sam!

Perhaps Vederman struck some back room deal to make this high profile problem disappear. What part did Sam Vederman's pal Police Chief Jeff Gilbert play in this soap opera? After all, if the hypothetical  "evidence" against Deena Blythe were to include any records of emails, phone calls, and/or text messages between Blythe and Chief Gilbert, this would be a very inconvenient time to have that laid out for public consumption on the court record.

How will this decision aid supporters of his recall? Who will eventually replace him? " Just in may of 2010 Sam Vederman, our elected County Attorney got yet ANOTHER traffic violation. Vederman doesn't know how to carry proper registration amongst other infractions. Please see Public Information J-1504-TR-201002648. If you would like to sign a petition for a recall of Sam Vederman please contact recallsamvederman@yahoo.com "

Hey Deena, we know you're reading, so would you care to comment? How about you Sam?

  1. Are we now seeing the first signs of a formal group of elected officials that have come together to form a “Protection Group” that sole existence is to protect each other by stalling, delaying investigations, refusing to take reported complaints. You know that “One for all and all for one” den of thieves’ thing!

How can anyone expect to received justice under the law when many in La Paz County see such a Brotherhood between Sheriff Don Lowery, County Attorney Sam Vederman, County Manager Dan Fields, Police Chief Jeff Gilbert, and Town Manager Alex Taft working together and watching each others backs against complaints, investigation, and prosecutions! Incompetence can only explain so much. I think its time we get answers, if not from them, maybe from the FBI.

  5. Hi folks! My name is Michael Roth. And I'd like to simply add that this county is F'd UP! BIG TIME!!! But it's weird because even though I know the local and county gubermint is totally out of control, like a car spinning around and round on an icy road, about to hit the ditch and turn upside down, it's weird because I really like this town!!! And it's really sad that it's gone to pot in such a short period of time. I mean, it's been here since the 1800's and in less than 10 years a group of do gooders only looking to do good for themselves, completely wrecked a once totally free eonomy!

Anyway, thanks for being my neighbor. I love you all. EVEN THE HATERS!!!! It could always be worse. Dan Field or the chief cop in charge could move here.

  6. Well, if you only will take the cases that you can't lose, you may be a Sam Vederman...

  7. Now if we can get Vederman out, the next guy/gal can refile the charges if we are lucky.

  13. Thanks to Vederman, there's no justice for Curtis Richards of Quartzsite Pizza...he wouldn't prosecute Jeffy's pal Larry McKee for the felony grand theft that occurred in front of like 30 witnesses. Frank Haws told me that the case Jeffy sent to them had more holes than Swiss cheese (my summary of the conversation - not a direct quote)Funny, but I took photos of that felony, and Josh Starr took the report but he took no witness statements. I wonder if that was Jeffy's idea? Hey, I haven't seen charges filed against Josh on the county court roster...did they all strike some kind of back room deal? Cause the father of the underage girl told me personally that he had emails between his daughter and Josh. Even Jeffy can't make Yahoo mail disappear!!!

  15. Just because Town mismanager Alex Taft may have accepted money for her psychic services doesn't necessarily mean that she practices witchcraft, now does it? Surely "a white apron", that's not what you are suggesting. Is there a coven in Quartzsite?

  16. Taft rhymes with craft, witch rhymes with...what cult cult do ya follow when ya tatoo your face? To much estrogen runnin this town for sure!

  17. Word is out that the recall people are back in action. Sign the petition against the town council and Sheriff Lowery. Someone is saying that they have recall papers on Vederman, but NO INFORMATION! If you know Hal Davison, get some papers to him and he will help get signatures in the Quartzsite area for you too!

If you live in the town of Quartzsite, a registered voter, or need to register to vote and want to sign the recall against the sitting town council call Hal at 928-916-2888 Monday – Friday!

  18. FYI, did you hear that the town council under the direction of Alex Taft has voted to up the paycheck of the certified real estate attorney from $35,K to $100,K per year. Just how bad off is the town of Quartzsite under the leadership of Alex Taft that they need so much time from an attorney that’s NOT certified in municipal law?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I wonder if the 100K is because they know I'm going to pursue my damages this winter and help those folks that Jeffy has had falsely arrested get theirs too. They didn't make my lawyer an offer so they are obviously gearing up for a drawn out expensive legal battle. It's not about the money for me, it's about justice and being held accountable for your actions. It's about living in Jeffy's house (wherever that may actually be) and driving Wes' little red truck, watching them all taken away in handcuffs on the evening news if we're lucky...it's about giving freedom and liberty and equal treatment back to everyone who comes to or lives in Quartzsite permanently. I hear the town is being directed to deny business licenses as punishment to those that criticize them or support Mayor Foster. If they dig themselves a deep enough hole, the angry mob might just start shoveling the dirt in on top of them.

  20. I've got extra shovels.

  21. The QPD is under investication because of Deena Blythe. They might be covering something up for a reason. She is working with the FBI. She hasn't done anything wrong it all a cover up.Why does she always go to Phoenix hummm. Why did she really move here. She doesn't care about this blog or anyone in this town or what they say about her.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thanks "john" for bringing that up...because I received a tip several months ago that the FBI was doing a background check on her and I suspected it was because she might be working for them to get information about Jeff etc. After all, it makes perfect sense when you think about it. What a great cover, don't you agree? People tend to confide things to their hairdresser or manicurist that they might not divulge to anyone else. If she had been elected, she would have had access to the unrecorded "executive sessions" and private goings on. Hey, the least I could do was play along. If it's true, I sure wouldn't want to be the one to blow her cover! Poor Jeff...his world is crumbling down on him and now he has to worry about all those alleged text messages end emails they sent to each other. Gee, do you think she was even wearing a wire?

  23. Funny that you would say something about the FBI, as 3 of them were seen at a McDonald's in Quartzsite with U.S. GOV plates on their car. Last seen they were heading towards the cop shop!
