This Week's Council MEETINGS! And yes, that's PLURAL!

A special meeting of the Town Council has been called by Town mismanger Alex Taft, for tomorrow, Friday, July 30th at 1pm to discuss approving the application for ADOT enhancement funds for beautification of West B 10 (Main St,) and "Hi Jolly Wayfinding Signage". Not surprising, Mayor Foster wasn't even notified about this special meeting as of close of business today, even though The "Desert Toiletpaper...I mean Messenger" had it posted by 17 minutes after noon, and, the meeting agenda was uploaded to the town"s website .

Why didn't Taft want this item discussed Tuesday night, when the majority of citizens would be watching? Why wasn't the Mayor notified? Why was Foster defamer Shanana "Rain" Golden_Bear apparently notified before the Mayor?

A quick highlight of Tuesday evenings Regular Meeting of the Common Council:

The proposed drastic increase in Cemetery fees, as requested by the Cemetary Board was Tabled.

Taft convinced the Council to borrow another million for expansion of the waste water treatment plant, but the interest rate is only .5 percent!

The budget was approved.(No mention of how much will be paid to Taft's private charity Willpower Inc. for animal sheltering, even though Paw Power is now turning away animals.)

And at "Reports and Announcements" Quartzsite resident Sean Austin, gave a report on the status of the investigation into the statutory rape of his daughter by QPD Officer Josh Starr, to which Police Chief Jeff Gilbert responded that it was a personnel matter that he was not at liberty to discuss...

When does the Constitution apply? ALWAYS!

Even to you, Mr. Obama.

How can we expect Quartzsite and La Paz County officials to act with transparency, and uphold the Constitution, when our Commander in Chief sets such a poor example?

"The video starts out with some content from obamasnippets.com, which, of course is contrived. And yet, there seems to be a synthetic truth about what the president says. Is he "natural born" according to the Constitution? No. The requirement is that BOTH parents need to be U. S. Citizens. Two U. S. Citizen parents produce a "natural born" citizen. It's likely that Mr. Obama was REGISTERED in Hawaii, therefore he has a COLB from Hawaii. The truth may well be he was born in Kenya; that is where we believe his "long-form" birth certificate was issued. Nevertheless, "natural born" indicates, and speaks to the fact that BOTH parents have to be U. S. Citizens. His father WAS NEVER a U. S. Citizen, therefore, Barack Hussein Obama is NOT a "natural born" Citizen of the United States, thus he is in violation of Amendment 14, and Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution."

Was Quartzsite prison scheme really a US citizen FEMA internment camp?

In response to the small but vocal critics,  I really am trying to find warm and  fuzzy feel good things to expose here, but frankly, they can go start their own blogs for all I care, because it's only logical that the deeper you dig, the more dirt you are likely to uncover

Regular readers will remember the scandalous Corplan prison proposal that was exposed here on this blog, and how Town leaders quickly changed their tune, pulling support from the project right before the election (hmmm).. After reading.yet another Corpan expose - Private Corporation Building Detention Camps Across America and then watching the new disturbingly credible documentary Camp Fema, I began to wonder what former mayor Wes Huntley, Town mismanager Alex Taft, and Police Chief Jeff Gilbert really knew about Corplan and it's objectives for this community. What did they discuss at that private meeting?

Knowing how close Quartzsite came to paying for this horror will surely keep me awake again tonight.. Discovering evidence of what our leaders have been doing while so many were looking the other way should cause every American to lose sleep, and rightfully so. This subject affects all of us, therefore, I'm providing both the recent article, and the thought provoking documentary. Read, then watch...then think about who may have been housed in the prison that Chief Gilbert so enthusiastically supported. After all, when questioned directly at "Coffee with Cops" Police Chief Gilbert would not deny placing local citizens on the Federal "watch list", and after counting on his fingers and mouthing numerous names to himself, he dodged the question of how many by stating that nobody really wanted to know the answer to the question. Quartzsite did pay to send him to training at FBI headquarters two years ago, after all.

WARNING - OSTRICH ALERT- DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU PREFER TO BURY YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND...

Private Corporation Building Detention Camps Across America

The shadowy design firm that was behind the infamous Hardin Montana jail is pushing to build detention camps across America, with the latest proposal centering around a fifty acre, five hundred bed facility in Italy, Texas, part of a program that many Americans fear is based around a plan to intern political dissidents in the event of a national emergency.
Private prison development firm Corplan Corrections, headed up by an individual called James Parkey, is working with underwriter Municipal Capitol Markets Group, along with prison “consultant” Richard Reyes from Innovative Government Strategies, an outfit that works with state and local government, to oversee multiple projects concentrated in different states including Arizona and Texas.
Their latest project is focused around constructing a “detention center for illegal immigrants” based in Italy, Texas. The Italy City Council heard Parkey’s proposals last week to build a “gorilla proof facility with a fence,” that would be used as a “processing center”.
The company was also behind the infamous internment facility in Hardin Montana, which attracted national media attention when responsibility for its security was handed to a mysterious paramilitary organization called American Police Force, which was fronted by career criminal and a convicted fraudster Michael Hilton, who operated under no less than 17 different aliases.
The group was also behind controversial plans to build a detention facility on Tohono O’odham Nation land near Sahuarita, Arizona.
Parkey also attempted to convince the Benson City Council to build a detention camp in that part of Arizona earlier this month.
Parkey’s efforts to oversee three separate jail deals with Texas counties failed following insufficient funds being made available to run the facilities, and in 2005, “Three Texas county commissioners were convicted on bribery charges in connection to one of those Parkey-led projects,” reports TPM.
The only stumbling block that Parkey has repeatedly run into when trying to convince local authorities to accept his proposals to build the camps is the lack of prisoners to fill them . Indeed, critics have accused him of fleecing desperate small communities with promises of jobs and economic development that never come to fruition, leaving empty jails and financial black holes.
But should the federal government and Homeland Security activate its “ENDGAME” scenario in response to a declared national emergency, illegal aliens, as well as “potential terrorists” will be rounded up and imprisoned in detention camps that the Feds themselves, not just private companies, have been building over the course of the last decade.
Back in January 2006, we reported on how Homeland Security had awarded Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root a $385 million dollar contract to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency.
The language of the preamble to the agreement veils the program with talk of temporary migrant holding centers, as is the case with the Corplan proposals, but it is made clear that the camps will also be used “as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency.”
The stated purpose of the detention camps, to hold illegal aliens, is routinely cited, yet continuity of government plans clearly indicate that the facilities will have a dual purpose – to hold political dissidents and American citizens in the event of a declaration of martial law.
Veteran author Peter Dale Scott characterized the Halliburton contract as another step towards martial law. As Scott points out, the camps will also be used to “support the rapid development of new programs,” which more specifically relates to a longer term Homeland Security operation entitled ENDGAME, which sets its goal as the removal of not only illegal aliens but also “potential terrorists”.
As we have illustrated, in documents like the MIAC report and a plethora of others, federal authorities define American citizens who are even mildly political, own guns, or support third party candidates as potential terrorists.
“The contract calls for a response to “an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs” in the event of other emergencies, such as “a natural disaster.” “New programs” is of course a term with no precise limitation. So, in the current administration, is ENDGAME’s goal of removing “potential terrorists,” writes Scott, adding that former Attorney General John Ashcroft called for the construction of internment camps for American citizens deemed to be “enemy combatants”.
Other agencies of the federal government have also been busy trying to build detention camps over the course of the last decade. In 2002, FEMA sought bids from major real estate and engineering firms to construct giant internment facilities in the case of a chemical, biological or nuclear attack or a natural disaster.
In February 2003, Okanogan County Commissioner Dave Schulz went public with his contention that his county was set to be a location for one of the camps.
Alex Jones has attended numerous military urban warfare training drills across the US where role players were used to simulate arresting American citizens and taking them to internment camps.
Whether these detention camps will be bossed by private paramilitary security forces, agents of the federal government, or a combination of the two is largely immaterial. What should concern all Americans is the fact that the camps are being constructed at all and that under new legal arguments being re-applied by President Obama, Americans can be abducted and held without trial in such facilities under the enemy combatant designation.

Now, look at this recent example of how peaceful freedom seeking AZ "sovereigns" are now considered terrorists by the FBI, connected with criminals, and "marginalized" as just described in Camp FEMA..

Snakes invade Quartzsite Town Hall?

If you were at last Tuesday nights meeting of the Common Council, you might be under this impression...because it was the lame excuse used for Councilman Lukkasson's agenda item proposing a change of the meeting time to 3:00 in the afternoon. (Lukkasson was not in attendance to promote his ridiculous proposal because of a family matter.)

However, critical thinkers might suspect that changing the meeting time to the hottest part of the day, during the hottest part of the year looks suspiciously like an attempt to discourage public attendance. Councilpersons Winslow and Cowell dutifully revealed their secret ophidiophobia right on cue, citing apprehension about the meetings ending after dark...when snakes might be in the parking lot as a reason for the proposed change. Despite Patricia Anderson (who made the motion on Lukkason's behalf) temporarily losing cognition and voting against her intentions, the motion did not pass and the meeting stays at 7 pm.

Now it's the fire department that responds to snake abatement calls, and amazingly,  no response calls were mentioned for Town hall in yesterday's article by "naked bookstore man's wife" Joanne Winer:
http://paloverdevalleytimes.com/main.asp?SectionID=215&SubSectionID=751&ArticleID=13447&TM=14111.03

Snakes at Town Hall? Shouldn't someone charge them with trying to incite a public panic? Of course there's snakes at Town Hall...but they appear to be on the payroll and that's why we need change!

Speaking of slippery reptiles, Police Chief Jeff Gilbert used the time allotted for "reports and announcements" to report his displeasure at being investigated for criminal acts and official misconduct. He publicized the recent dismissal of Officer Josh Starr for alleged statutory rape and reportedly using his Quartzsite squad car to pick the girl up and take her to CA for sex. (Isn't that kidnapping?) and appears to believe it was not a criminal act, but rather a "personnel" issue. Gilbert is therefore now on public record threatening others who may want to come forward with complaints. (That's threat and intimidation under color of authority, for those who are as blissfully unaware as our Chief of Police...and it's a Federal crime!.) So, if you have any questionable conduct by Chief Gilbert or his goon squad to report, and fear retaliation, just post it here anonymously and someone will look into it. I know precisely who to send it to.

THE Quartzsite blog...that even the haters can't stop reading

Happy six month anniversary to the Quartzsite blog that isn't afraid to take on controversial issues.

Wow, in exactly six months (as of this morning), this tiny little corner of the blogosphere has had over 7,000 visitors! It just goes to show that people want to know what's really going on, even if it isn't pretty.

REFERENDUM - It's official!

All the desperate maneuvers by Taft and the Town Council have been for naught, Foster will be a fully empowered mayor at the next Council meeting and I predict that heads are gonna roll...
Earlier today the signatures were turned in that effectively repeals the spiteful actions of Alex Taft and the Quartzsite Town Council until the voters decide. After the childish and selfish behavior by Lizzarraga, Wislow, Anderson, Lukkasson, Cowell, Taft and Walsma in their transparent attempt at usurping the legal and rightful powers of Mayor Ed Foster, the citizens were so outraged that the number of signatures easily exceeded that which was required. This was no small feat when you consider that the number is calculated as a percentage of voters in the last regular election. In other words, more signatures were required than for any initiative or referendum in the entire history of the Town, and despite a large number of voters having departed for cooler climates, Foster supporters will be reckoned with.

This leaves the council two choices: either they can rescind the motions amending Town Code, the Town Policy Manual and the protocol for information requests, or they can let the voters have their say at the ballot box. If the voters prevail, it will be "the law of the land" and carry more legal weight than any actions taken by those officials who are supposed to be representing them.

This move should come as no surprise to Town officials, as they were directly advised of the consequences for voting to strip the mayor's position of it's authority at the Council meeting at which Foster was eventually sworn in. Our self serving and arrogant "leaders" have proven that the will of their constituents means nothing to them. How anyone with an IQ over 40 can stand by them now is incomprehensible. Did they really think they could pull it off? I for one can't wait to see Ed assert the power given to him by the people.

Tuesday's Council meeting should be a real show. Come early to get a good seat! The verdict has been handed down by the jury, and the ruling is not in favor of Taft and her dancing puppets.

Joyriding in the "company" car

Police Chief Jeff Gilbert has repeatedly tried to defend allowing his officers to use Town vehicles for private use with the lame excuse of canine officers needing to take their four legged partners home at shift's end.

Yet, as these very recent photos clearly show, this unoccupied QPD car is at the Walmart in Parker, and it is not a K9 unit. I can't imagine what official business brought it here.

My problem is not with the officer assigned this car or even the poor job of parking it, my problem is that right now, Quartzsite is insolvent and every penny counts. Now I'm not going to mention where this officer actually lives but just for fun, let's do some mileage math.

From the Walmart in Parker to the Quartzsite Police Station is 36 miles each way, 72 miles round trip. If an officer commutes this far for only 182 out of 365 days a year, that's 13, 104 miles each year. Now I'm going to generously estimate that the car gets a highway average of 23 mpg (16 mpg around town). So, 570 gallons of gas at a current price of $2.80/gallon may only be $1,596 annually for that one officer, but let's not forget repair and maintenance for the extra wear and tear on the car. Chief Gilbert and his officers often lament that the Town's police cars are an aging fleet, and it costs somewhere between $25,000 and $35,000 Quartzsite doesn't have to replace one.

Given that Police Chief Gilbert is probably driving his back and forth to his other home in Havasu (Does he let wife Sondra use it to run errands?) and that several other officers reportedly commute from out of Town, it only make fiscal sense to mandate a stop the practice, effective immediately.

Many other Quartzsite Town vehicles have been spotted as far away as Phoenix and Yuma. Mayor Foster declined use of a Town car for official business. I think that Quartzsite's other civil servants should follow his lead.
