Was Quartzsite prison scheme really a US citizen FEMA internment camp?

In response to the small but vocal critics,  I really am trying to find warm and  fuzzy feel good things to expose here, but frankly, they can go start their own blogs for all I care, because it's only logical that the deeper you dig, the more dirt you are likely to uncover

Regular readers will remember the scandalous Corplan prison proposal that was exposed here on this blog, and how Town leaders quickly changed their tune, pulling support from the project right before the election (hmmm).. After reading.yet another Corpan expose - Private Corporation Building Detention Camps Across America and then watching the new disturbingly credible documentary Camp Fema, I began to wonder what former mayor Wes Huntley, Town mismanager Alex Taft, and Police Chief Jeff Gilbert really knew about Corplan and it's objectives for this community. What did they discuss at that private meeting?

Knowing how close Quartzsite came to paying for this horror will surely keep me awake again tonight.. Discovering evidence of what our leaders have been doing while so many were looking the other way should cause every American to lose sleep, and rightfully so. This subject affects all of us, therefore, I'm providing both the recent article, and the thought provoking documentary. Read, then watch...then think about who may have been housed in the prison that Chief Gilbert so enthusiastically supported. After all, when questioned directly at "Coffee with Cops" Police Chief Gilbert would not deny placing local citizens on the Federal "watch list", and after counting on his fingers and mouthing numerous names to himself, he dodged the question of how many by stating that nobody really wanted to know the answer to the question. Quartzsite did pay to send him to training at FBI headquarters two years ago, after all.

WARNING - OSTRICH ALERT- DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU PREFER TO BURY YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND...

Private Corporation Building Detention Camps Across America

The shadowy design firm that was behind the infamous Hardin Montana jail is pushing to build detention camps across America, with the latest proposal centering around a fifty acre, five hundred bed facility in Italy, Texas, part of a program that many Americans fear is based around a plan to intern political dissidents in the event of a national emergency.
Private prison development firm Corplan Corrections, headed up by an individual called James Parkey, is working with underwriter Municipal Capitol Markets Group, along with prison “consultant” Richard Reyes from Innovative Government Strategies, an outfit that works with state and local government, to oversee multiple projects concentrated in different states including Arizona and Texas.
Their latest project is focused around constructing a “detention center for illegal immigrants” based in Italy, Texas. The Italy City Council heard Parkey’s proposals last week to build a “gorilla proof facility with a fence,” that would be used as a “processing center”.
The company was also behind the infamous internment facility in Hardin Montana, which attracted national media attention when responsibility for its security was handed to a mysterious paramilitary organization called American Police Force, which was fronted by career criminal and a convicted fraudster Michael Hilton, who operated under no less than 17 different aliases.
The group was also behind controversial plans to build a detention facility on Tohono O’odham Nation land near Sahuarita, Arizona.
Parkey also attempted to convince the Benson City Council to build a detention camp in that part of Arizona earlier this month.
Parkey’s efforts to oversee three separate jail deals with Texas counties failed following insufficient funds being made available to run the facilities, and in 2005, “Three Texas county commissioners were convicted on bribery charges in connection to one of those Parkey-led projects,” reports TPM.
The only stumbling block that Parkey has repeatedly run into when trying to convince local authorities to accept his proposals to build the camps is the lack of prisoners to fill them . Indeed, critics have accused him of fleecing desperate small communities with promises of jobs and economic development that never come to fruition, leaving empty jails and financial black holes.
But should the federal government and Homeland Security activate its “ENDGAME” scenario in response to a declared national emergency, illegal aliens, as well as “potential terrorists” will be rounded up and imprisoned in detention camps that the Feds themselves, not just private companies, have been building over the course of the last decade.
Back in January 2006, we reported on how Homeland Security had awarded Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root a $385 million dollar contract to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency.
The language of the preamble to the agreement veils the program with talk of temporary migrant holding centers, as is the case with the Corplan proposals, but it is made clear that the camps will also be used “as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency.”
The stated purpose of the detention camps, to hold illegal aliens, is routinely cited, yet continuity of government plans clearly indicate that the facilities will have a dual purpose – to hold political dissidents and American citizens in the event of a declaration of martial law.
Veteran author Peter Dale Scott characterized the Halliburton contract as another step towards martial law. As Scott points out, the camps will also be used to “support the rapid development of new programs,” which more specifically relates to a longer term Homeland Security operation entitled ENDGAME, which sets its goal as the removal of not only illegal aliens but also “potential terrorists”.
As we have illustrated, in documents like the MIAC report and a plethora of others, federal authorities define American citizens who are even mildly political, own guns, or support third party candidates as potential terrorists.
“The contract calls for a response to “an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs” in the event of other emergencies, such as “a natural disaster.” “New programs” is of course a term with no precise limitation. So, in the current administration, is ENDGAME’s goal of removing “potential terrorists,” writes Scott, adding that former Attorney General John Ashcroft called for the construction of internment camps for American citizens deemed to be “enemy combatants”.
Other agencies of the federal government have also been busy trying to build detention camps over the course of the last decade. In 2002, FEMA sought bids from major real estate and engineering firms to construct giant internment facilities in the case of a chemical, biological or nuclear attack or a natural disaster.
In February 2003, Okanogan County Commissioner Dave Schulz went public with his contention that his county was set to be a location for one of the camps.
Alex Jones has attended numerous military urban warfare training drills across the US where role players were used to simulate arresting American citizens and taking them to internment camps.
Whether these detention camps will be bossed by private paramilitary security forces, agents of the federal government, or a combination of the two is largely immaterial. What should concern all Americans is the fact that the camps are being constructed at all and that under new legal arguments being re-applied by President Obama, Americans can be abducted and held without trial in such facilities under the enemy combatant designation.

Now, look at this recent example of how peaceful freedom seeking AZ "sovereigns" are now considered terrorists by the FBI, connected with criminals, and "marginalized" as just described in Camp FEMA..

  1. Jeffy Gilbert LIES TO EVERYONE!July 21, 2010 at 10:23 PM

Sounds like something big little man chief jeffy Gilbert, Wes and Alex would want to see happen. These people are scum to the nth degree! I bet that shiny new black SUV the town mysteriously received was a free gift from Corplan. After all, the official lie is that Josh Starr (the fired cop...how convenient) was such a fine grant writer that he got it for free! Fishy? How about how this brand spanking new "chiefs car" isn't plated and on the road yet? Bet they weren't expecting Ed to win. (Remember The Rigged Election!!!) How are they covering this one up? Curious!!!!

  2. Yes, and wasn't Josh one of the QPD waaay out of town near the Yum Yum mine who drew his weapon on those people having a picnic? I know Q Town has an inter governmental agreement with BLM for the first time this year - but I thought it was only for BLM land withing town limits. Am I mistaken? Seems too convenient he won't be giving testimony under oath in that case now that he's "terminated".

  3. Is it true that the town of Quartzsite, or the QPD, got a free vehicle? Where is it? Anyone????? Does the Mayor know what's up with this generous grant? I went to the "Meet The Incumbents" meeting where Jeffy denied the town paid for it. (Of course, they told everyone that no recording was allowed whatsoever, so there's no record of his lies) This "free" car has to be investigated. Sounds like we have more than just a bad cop as a Chief!

  4. First off I know that new black SUV your talking about is a free vehicle that they got on a grant from what I was told the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. And I know of no indecent about Josh and the Yum Yum mine, speaking of which I do not even know where that is at, and I have been in the area the last 20 years.

  5. Could FEMA have a new lap dog in Chief Gilbert? Lets look at the long history of his tenure with the Town of Quartzsite. It looks like he will jump at the chance to do questionable acts at the bidding of Town Officials that others see as illegal and violations of both state and federal law.

It has been said that he ran to the County of La Paz to cry about pressure and actions over his job and now we have the County Sheriff refusing to take any criminal complaints against Chief Gilbert, his QPD Officers, or ANY CRIMINAL REPORT that he or his officers refuse to take or record.

In short when FEMA walks into the Town of Quartzsite, just how fast will Chief Gilbert act to do their bidding even if it is in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of Arizona? Who will we be able to call upon to protect us then?

Will Chief Gilbert be like so many of the General and Political Staff at Nuremberg that said, “I was only following orders”! Has Chief Gilbert already forgotten his oath of office and sold out to the highest bidder or just trying to keep his high paying job at the expense of the victims of Quartzsite?

I feel that it is time that we start questioning and asking for review of his contract. The lack of investigations against his officers and Chief Gilbert have been orchestrated along with their refusal to record criminal complaints demand action today before we have another QPD Officer sent to prison for sexual assault of a child. When you are cooling your heals in a FEMA detention camp it is too late!

Remember what happened in New Orleans by its Town Mayor and Chief of Police. If we don’t protect ourselves now, we face the mass round up of those not considered worthy and placed into a holding camp supported by the Town Council and enforced by Chief Gilbert.

  6. Well Anonymous, the names of the people at the mine that day are part of the court record, and I (and many others)know who they are. Another attempt at a cover up by Chief Gilbert perhaps? It just goes to show what long time residents don't know about goings on in their own community.

And why does it appear that Sheriff Lowery is covering up for Chief Gilbert's covering up. The La Paz County Sheriff's Office will not take criminal reports from Quartzsite now (apparently at Gilbert's behest)and has been documented refusing to take reports of criminal activity by Town and County employees for over two years. In the event of an "emergency" the Sheriff holds all the power, and over everything all the time within his jurisdiction. As the only elected law enforcement that reports "to the power source" I think that Don Lowery is part of the problem. Right along with Vederman, Haws, and Newman at the County Prosecutor's office.

  8. It Is my understanding that the young couple and male guide that night were on the outside of the Wilson Mine on BLM land. There is an interesting history behind this mine and from the people in the know, ONLY a BLM Ranger could have made the arrest that night! Yet again another pending civil suit against the Town of Quartzsite and the County of La Paz that will pull more unwarranted expenses from more important projects and the pocket books of the property owners.

  10. DW, I like your long rant against Gilbert. To answer your question about who we can turn to for help if Jeff Gilbert violates our rights, the answer is nobody. It is up to us as citizens to take care of ourselves. I have been preaching that the only way we can defend ourselves against tyranny is to have a government that guarantees and honors our rights. This means we have to start winning elections. This is the most important thing we need to do. Because, even though the recalls may happen, it doesn't mean we are any better off until we get good honest citizens into office, NOT POLITICIANS in office. We got close in the last election, but that doesn't count. We need to double our efforts!!!! If we do this, then when the economy goes into the toilet further, and the government weenies try to expand their power, we can resist them. NOTHING CHANGES UNTIL YOU START WINNING ELECTIONS!!! Now, Gilbert and his kind are reading this blog, as you all know, so don't be one bit surprised if the bastards double their efforts as well. After all, there is no rest for the wicked! It's time to get off your lazy asses America and demand your rights and take your country back.

  11. As Police Officers it seems they fail to remember that police officers are public servants and as such should treat every citizen with the respect due an employer.
A solution for this is a Citizens Police Review Board. As the citizens are the employers and the police are employees it is the right and the responsibility of the citizens to oversee their investment. It is the citizens duty to hold their employees accountable for their actions in the field and in the office.
The Citizens Review board would, monitor the police, use open records laws, educate the public, reduce police brutality, oversee police policy, end police spying and build coalitions.
They should also review with the officers their duty to uphold their sworn oath to serve and protect the Constitution and it's citizens. I wonder if the officers have read, and if so, do they comprehend the Constitution. As it is THE LAW OF THE LAND.
I believe that one simple review would change the officers attitudes and actions as well as the citizens.
A olive branch suggestion to Chief Gilbert, how about a "coffee with the Constitution of the United States of America, Citizens and Quartzsite Police"?

  12. Mr. Roth,

I was not ranting about Chief Gilbert, but trying to shed light upon the dangers that he poses to the residents of Quartzsite. To most people it would appear that he (Gilbert) is more concerned in keeping his over paid job above doing his duty to the people that live and die here in Quartzsite.

You can’t dismiss his smooth talking charm in pulling the wool over the eyes of his supporters, that is until he again fails to do his job or follow through with promises. In most jobs here in Quartzsite if you fail to do your job it is a kind of no harm, no foul. However, if he fails in doing his duty it could have dire consequences…

  13. DW,
If you're not willing to rant against Gilbert, I will. This is a man that swore an oath to God and the rest of the citizens and continues to ignore it. An oath is for life. It's not something that is to be taken lightly. He raised his right hand and swore that he would defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, then conveniently ignores it. Where in his oath does it say that he can ignore one of his officers having sex with a minor? (And when the step-father complains about it, he arrests him for disorderly conduct!) Where in his oath does it say that he can harass citizens who disagree with him (I'm an example of this when he conspired with Wes Huntley and cut me off during a town council meeting, just because he didn't like what I was saying. Do we still have the first amendment to the Constitution? Not in this town) What right does he have to instigate/encourage an investigation of everyone I registered to vote? Is that part of his Oath? What gives him the right to arrest me and making me spend a night in jail, and deal with the courts, just because he doesn't like what I'm saying. Don't believe me? I'll show you the video he used as evidence to indict me. Does this sound like a man that takes his oath seriously? I don't think so! When I ran for Board of Supervisors, he had his goons take down my campaign signs upon the orders of Dan Field, Mark Skogland and others..... HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE! Several of my supporters told me they were pulled over by his Brown Shirts and warned them about me simply because they had my campaign signs on their cars. Other citizens reported to me after the election that they did not vote for me because of things Jeff Gilbert told them about me, only to find out later it wasn't true. Does this sound like America? But this is business as usual for this man. Whatever happened to Truth, Justice and the American Way? I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have nothing personal against Chief Gilbert. However as a man who swore an oath to defend my rights, he is a miserable failure! And I'm just one person he has done this to. There are dozens, if not hundreds of others that have had similar experiences but are too afraid to come forward. I know this for a fact because I have talked to several of them. Well I am NOT afraid and will NOT shut up as he has told me to at town hall meetings, until he realizes the Oath Of Office he swore to defend means something. MR. Gilbert. I know you are reading this. You don't have to make anymore enemies than you already have. Right now, go read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of The United States, The Bill Of Rights, and understand what it means to be a Citizens of this country. And while you are at it, get Sheriff Mack's book The Proper Role Of Law Enforcement. Internalize this information, make sure your officers do the same, and maybe you'll make friends around here instead of enemies. END OF RANT!

  14. Mr. Roth,

You’re right about Chief Gilbert’s forgetting about his sworn “Oath of Office.” It’s true that “The Truth will set you free.” However, a lie is like a heavy chain (Yours were as ponderous and heavy as mine seven Christmas Eves ago Ebenezer.) only gathering links until it is too heavy to keep your or his (Gilbert’s) head above water. Unlike Scrooge, Gilbert cannot see the light of truth much less seek his salvation.

Case in point: Just how is a jury going to decide on your case when sworn testimony is introduced showing that Chief Gilbert and the La Paz County Attorney Sam Vederman failed to produce all pertinent evidence to the Grand Jury that authorized the charges against you? I was told by an unswerving resource that the letter from the Town of Quartzsite’s Prosecuting Attorney stating that the charges against you were dismissed in the “Interest of Justice,” and the video on You Tube showing your arrest was NOT introduced or offered into evidence! Gee, could we perceive additional charges of purgury during Grand Jury testimony being added to his (Chief Gilbert’s) employment history?

The allegations against QPD Officer Josh Starr are not a 1st for Quartzsite. However, unlike Chief Gilbert’s administration, QPD Officer Kirk D. Peterson charges were investigated (with written reports taken) in a timely manner, with two convictions (1. SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A MINOR, 2. MOLESTATION OF CHILD) of guilty, and he is sitting in a State of Arizona Prison today! Word is out that Chief Gilbert didn’t even dismiss QPD Officer Josh Starr for his alleged “Statutory Rape” of a child.

Don’t take my word for it, look it up, Case NO: S-1500-CR-98000324, La Paz County.
    Inmate: 145121 K PETERSON
    http://www.azcorrections.gov/inmate_datasearch/results_Minh.aspx?InmateNumber=145121&LastName=PETERSON&FNMI=K&SearchType=SearchInet

Now if there is a video or recording showing that they (QPD) are doing their job that it is front page news, but when there is evidence of verification that they are fracturing the law or shows that they have purged themselves it becomes like a fart evaporating into the night air. Funny thing is, EVERY BODY KNOWS who stinks! Kind of looks like Gilbert has just added several more nails into not only his coffin but may be adding a few to Vederman’s as well.

Maybe Chief Gilbert should take a little journey down to Florence, Arizona to the Arizona State Prison and have a little converse with former QPD Officer Kirk Peterson and find out for himself how serving ten years in a state prison is like when you use to be a cop. Inmates take a dim view of child rapist and I wonder what their views would be on a Chief of Police, a sworn “Officer of the Law” refused to investigate one of his officers for the rape of a child much less refusing to take a written report! Yep, bet Bubba will be busy!

Funny how Mayor Foster’s efforts to shine the light on criminal and/or wrong actions by elected officials and town employees at Town Hall has spread through the Town Limits of Quartzsite, Arizona. It would seem that every time Chief Gilbert tries to hide, ignore, or cover up something there is someone, if not shining a light on it, willing to do so and convey it to the public’s attention.

  15. Just a side note for former QPD Officer Josh Starr and our “Take NO Written Report” Chief Gilbert, for decades our prison systems have had to take special measures to protect former law enforcement officers and child rapists from the prison inmates. How would it look if the inmates of a prison found out that the new guy in segregation was a former Chief of Police that protected one of his police officers from charges of child rape by refusing to take a written report, thus obstructing any investigation?

Now think what former QPD Officer Kirk D. Peterson has had to endure over the last 10 years as a convicted child rapist that was a police officer whose duty was to protect children, not rape them. Are we ever going to see justice served and if so how many men will fall because of bad judgments while wearing the Badge of Justice? In the end, what justice will be served upon them?

  17. A quote from your link Anonymous, “This is not a cure-all,” Mr. Pisciotta said. “What our farm laborers do is a skill. They’re born with it, and they’re good at it. It’s not an easy job.”

Many uneducated farm-laborers/slaves/indentured-servants and farmers form our own past history passed along their skills to their children (training, education, experience) who in time were offered an education in one-room schools. In time they became better farmers or moved off to other dreams and trades because of that education. You will find it hard to take any highly educated person (unless this is the only way to put food on the table with nothing to eat for days/weeks) to harvest crops.

Just what makes you think that a convicted child-rapist-cop like Kirk Peterson would be allowed to work in such a program. Remember, he was trusted and given the power to take away rights, freedoms, and even life itself under the laws of the land and he used his powers to rape an underage girl! God only knows were Kirk Peterson and the girl (lets not forget her baby) would be today if only Chief Jeff Gilbert had been his Chief of Police. After all according to Chief Jeff Gilbert it would be a “personnel issue” with maybe a transfer over to the DARE Program in our schools. After all Kirk Peterson does have a special skill with young girls…. Thank God I don’t have to worry about the girls in my family going to school here and being protected by members of the QPD with personnel issues!
