  2. Why does Jeff Gilbert talking about an outside "Investigation" remind me of the pope covering up for child molesters? Then condemming "gossip" when people tell.

How come no one investigates what him and Taft are doing at 10:00 PM in Town Hall? Or where the PD grant money went... or the training he got paid to take.. or the thing with Deena Blythe.. or illegal searches or harrasment and stalking.. interferring with an election and his oh so interesting conduct politicking in uniform for Huntley.. but maybe that pimping

  3. I met with the investigators, and Chief Gilberts documented claim that the complaints (plural) are being investigated by an outside agency are not accurate. Only one sentance of my complaint is being investigated, and they told me directly that the Chief instructed them only to investigate that one issue, not to look at evidence on any of the other complaints. I gave them the contact information for several witnesses, and I sincerely hope they get to the truth at least in that one matter, whatever it may be. Sadly, The current Council does not seem to be interested in pursuing any objective investigation of the other complaints. Maybe that's because they show provable violations!!! We certainly wouldn't want to admit any wrongdoing with the election so close...

  4. Funny, I thought this "thread" was about voting early...

All I see here are the over-bloated mud-slingers. It sure gives you reason NOT to vote for the list above, the "dissidents of Quartzsite". I could never vote for anyone who only speaks dirt and gives negative statements here or at meetings or anywhere for anything to do with this town, including a certain self-righteous and most litigious person running for Mayor whose thrills are suing the pants off of anyone who wants to straighten out Quartzsite and clean up the Town and Town Hall or for just being in his way, LOL. The existing Council is exactly that, trying to clean up the prior ills and sins of the older Councils who thought that the old buddy system of hiding the truth, greasing palms to have people look the other way was their way instead of doing what is right for the town and what is legal. The Council has a terrific and difficult job to clean up this mess of sadly (and poorly) mis-managed yesterdays. The people trying to get in and back in now are the very people who will take "Q" back to the old days of buddy/buddy, hide the truth and get whatever you can for yourself, not the town. One example of this is a few local citizens who are not paying back levies, taxes and other fees owed to the town for taking advantage while sitting on the Council or being really friendly with someone on the Council. A select few of these citizens are the very ones "backing" these "dissidents of Quartzsite". Time to face the music and allow this town to go legit and legal. Sometimes the road is hard but it does not mean you do not follow the actual path. Getting back to "en pointe"...please, local citizens do go out to vote early or on voting day and vote for the real truth for this town so Quartzsite can go forward, grow and be able to be self-sufficient. For this the current Council takes on the most difficult task of cleaning up the problems of the past, not easily done, but is being done nonetheless. Please vote for the existing Council and that would be for Huntley for Mayor, and the 3 open seats for Council: Pat Anderson, Jerry Lukkasson and Bob Kelley.

  5. Has anyone noticed lately that the names Sias and Hamilton are linked together yet WITHOUT the names of Moore and Foster??? I can just imagine why. There are a flurry of phone calls both on landlines and cell phones all made by Sias (and only mentioning to vote for him and Hamilton) and intruding on all of the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY lines lately. I guess even Sias does not know about not bothering people when they have stated they do not want to be bothered by solicitors, in this case solicitors for votes? By the by, I also wonder how Sias got these phone lists and how much did he pay? Invasion of privacy is just that, invasion. He had to get this type of information, let's just say, not quite the right way...we've spoken to enough people to find out that many are NOT listed in the phone book... Please vote for the existing Council members who actually are finally cleaning up this town to do right for all of us (Huntley, Anderson, Lukkasson and Kelley).

  6. You "anonymous" posters are so transparent. You stand up at the meetings and bash this blog for being an anonymous editorial designed as an open forum to provoke debate and discussion of issues. Then the hypocrites log on as "anonymous" and "sling mud", "speak dirt", "make negative statements" and false accusations through unsubstantiated innuendo just like they do in print, in the Desert Messenger. They're so busy trying to find some way to discredit honest and qualified men that they won't (or can't)answer serious questions or offer the citizens plans and ideas to solve the very real crises this Town is currently facing. But hey, at least you're here, confirming what my software was already telling me...

Lie:"most litigious person running for Mayor whose thrills are suing the pants off of anyone who wants to straighten out Quartzsite and clean up the Town"

Truth: Ed Foster has never sued anyone in this Town, although he certainly has cause. Misconduct on the part of Town leaders has the law suits stacking up quickly.

Lie: "The people trying to get in and back in now are the very people who will take "Q" back to the old days of buddy/buddy, hide the truth and get whatever you can for yourself, not the town."

Truth: Foster, Hamilton, Moore ans Sias are not part of the "old buddy system" here and chose to run on the frightening premise that the rules apply to everyone. The only thing the current council has gotten for this Town is another million dollars worth of debt and pipe dreams of community centers that turn into police stations.

Lie:"He had to get this type of information, let's just say, not quite the right way."

Truth: He got them the same way everyone does, from an open records request of registered voters.

The signs were paired up (Sias with Hamilton and Foster with Moore) as an experiment to show how easy it is to screw with your simple minds. Those "dissidents" as you like to call them are many, not few and that FACT has you losing sleep (as it should...)and making ever more foolish (and potentially criminal)mistakes...

What will the incumbents do if they are sued jointly and severally with the Town, for more than their individual insurance policies will cover? Who's interests will they represent then? No one has grounds to sue the "dissidents"...They've broken no law.

  7. Hey, AR, your comment... Truth: Ed Foster has never sued anyone in this Town, although he certainly has cause. Misconduct on the part of Town leaders has the law suits stacking up quickly.

No matter what you say, Ed Foster did have a lawsuit against the town, naming the Council members and the Town Manager AND it was dismissed in January of this year. It cost the town many thousands of dollars which we, the citizens, end up paying for in one way or another. There were many complaints also by Ed which take up the Town's time, and therefore, money. The recall cost over $5,000 (again costing Quartzsite taxpayers) instigated by the Reform slate/coalition. These are facts substantiated by filed Town records.

And, misconduct by the Town Council? What are they? Lawsuits are stacking up on them? What are they? Where are the filed documents? Show us, please, we'd love to see actual proof.

May I, and the other citizens of Quartzsite not part of the reform coalition/slate, ask you for true and written substantiation of your accusals? I never lose sleep with people who only use innuendo, rumors and other negative ways of muddying actuality. Rules do apply to everyone, just waiting to see if you can actually follow them.
