Quartzsite job stress kills town employee?

This morning, Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Official Gary Howell passed away on the clock (?), of an apparent heart attack(?). Howell was as well liked as any enforcement official could be, and tried to be fair and resonable in his job, under very difficult and stressful circumstances. He was only in his fifties. His widow is a former town employee who was fired recently, while still on probation. Our prayers are with her and the children.

  4. Shame on you. Have you nothing better to do then spread even more hate and discontent? A family has lost a good husband and father. Comments like he passed away on the clock are completely uncalled for. You have absolutely no moral compass. Rest in Peace, Gary.

  5. While I didn’t know Mr. Howell, I have only heard good comments from the people that I have talked to about him. I have head it said that many felt he was the one keeper within the Quartzsite Town Hall government that was fair minded and tried to help the people he served. From what was said, he will be missed both by family, friends, and citizens of Quartzsite.

With all due respect to Mr. Howells family, he was a servant of the people and his death is not only news to the community but the facts behind his premature passing should be reported to put all rumors to rest as soon as possible. It is my understanding that he passed away at home and we must wait for the official cause of his death and not rush to judgment.

  6. @All the Anonymous commenters.
Until such time as you use a actual log in ID I will hold to the notion that you're all one in the same person making stupid, moronic comments to the affect that this blog owner should be some how ashamed of him/her self!
