This morning's Council meeting was eerily silent on the fact that Captain Lizzarraga had abandoned ship.  Councilwoman Anderson stated "We haven't decided whether or not we are going to accept his letter of resignation"...

Uhhh... Jose, you don't have have to go on for hours as to your reasons for stepping down. I can do it in two words. "You lost!"

And, Wow. All those accolades for the lying scumbag Council members you "lead"? Like when they re-convened the meeting you adjourned? And the evil Town staff? Even after being assaulted by Brannan? (There may be some truth when he said, "No one will ever understand what it is that you do." That's because you do it all in secret, won't comply with record requests and have tried to bury all your illegal outlays.)

I thought his eyes had been open and he was starting to see the light when he did the right thing at the meeting after the election. But now Lizarraga sounds like he's drinking the Kool-aid. Like he's in a cult. Amazing. "There are none so blind as those who will not see."

This may be more of a battle then we all know.

  3. Jose is just not bright or honest. He could've helped the people of Quartzsite on the way out but took the chickenshit route he did.

  4. He was probably offered a very nice "parting gift". He never was a man that stood on any principal. Hell get him to run for counsel again, he fits right in with the rest of them.

  5. There are times when I feel like I’m having a Columbo moment. However, I’ve never take as long as Councilman-Mayor Jose Lizarraga has to realize what his actions or lack of actions has caused in harm to Quartzsite, the business, venders, residents, snowbirds, and himself.

Its kind of late to be worried about ones job with the Quartzsite Fire District and his pension. This is something that Mayor Lizarraga (lets respect the man and the office he held for such a short time) will have to live with for the rest of his life. He should have thought of this a long time ago. One thing comes to mind that I’m sure that this has crossed his mind once or twice and that is to go to the U.S. Attorney and ask for immunity for his testimony against Alex Taft, Al Johnson, Jeff Gilbert, Jerry Lukkasson, and the rest of the Town Council.

In reality, this may be the only way that he will not face State and Federal Criminal Charges not to mention the growing amount of Civil Complaints filed in Federal Court for Civil Rights violations that could land him in a Federal Prison. I do wish him the best in his upcoming court cases because when we face the facts here, he isn’t out of the fray yet. It is a shame that he didn’t step forward a long time ago when he could have and stopped the IMHO, insanity coming from Town Hall and the Quartzsite Police Department.

Get the “Truth,” get the “Facts”!

  8. Quartzsite is where criminals go to finish out their failed careers and collect a pension check. Alex Taft, Jeff Gilbert, Al Johnson, etc.. If their brains were dynamite there wouldn't be enough to blow their nose.
