Quarzsite Council declares ANARCHY!

We are no longer a nation of laws was the message conveyed last night by all six members of the Quartzsite Town Council. They have now officially  placed themselves above the authority of the State of Arizona, the United States Supreme Court and the even the Supreme Law of the Land, the United States Constitution. It's as if they have anointed themselves as gods.

After being told repeatedly that Councilman "Dirty Laundry" Lukkasson's agenda items were in violation of numerous laws and published court rulings, as supported by documents personally submitted to them, the council members shrugged off the repeated warning that they had waved "executive protection" and were now personally liable for their actions. In a horrifying display of contempt after the meeting ended, Councilman "Machine Gun" Joe Winslow stated "I guess I'm just getting sued", as he laughed heartily with friends.

The bad news for both citizens and visitors is that with Mayor Foster as the only dissenting vote, your council voted to restrict citizens' free speech, and revoke business licenses without due process. So incoming vendors should be aware that a new legal aid coalition is being organized to provide assistance to any vendor or businessperson whose license is revoked while a paid member of said coalition. More on that subject as details become available .

Because Town mismanager Alex Taft had threatened the mayor with a $500 fine for allowing  citizens to speak "off topic" of things deemed to fall under the description of "town business",  Mayor Foster used his executive privilege to bypass both "reports and announcements" and "call to the public" until such time as he could consult with his attorney. Hey Ed, we don't have any confidence in Pamela Walsma's legal advice either. Isn't she being sued through her law firm for a million dollars for malfeasance in a private case not related to Quartzsite Town business? Where does Ms. "Graft" find these people anyway?

  1. More shocking than the vindictive and childish behavior of the coucil was the shreiking fanclub in the back of the room! I am at a loss for words (yes ME) at the people demanding to be stripped of the very rights out soldiers are fighting and dying for. And Winslow up there refusing to stand for the invocation! What a disgrace he is!!! I think the only 3 words he knows are "point of order" but he sure doesn't understand what the mean or how to use them properly. And Bob Kelley - refusing to even look at the laws presented to the council for review...How can any rational person believe these people care about anyone but themselves??? Shame on Mike, my customer for demanding "throw out the vendors!" This is one "vendor that will NOT be grooming your pets any longer. I can't wait for the video so the good people of Quartzsite can see for them selves what a disgrace their council is. Shame on you Jose! Shame on you Joe! Shame on you Patricia! Shame on you Bob! Shame on you Jerry! Shame on you Barbara! Grow up and do the job you were elected to do while you are still in those chairs instead trying to find ways to destroy this beautiful town!!! Hang in there Ed...help is only a few short months away!

  3. It's sad to see people lick the boots of their oppressor.

This reminds me of the movie Revenge of the Sith "This is how democracy ends - with thunderous applause," says a character in George Lucas' Star Wars

  7. Recall election is this spring. Good news is that if our part time residents declare Quartzsite residency AFTER after they vote in the big election on Tuesday, November 2nd then they can vote HERE in Quartzsite on this spring's recall - and it's LEGAL! (I capitalized for emphasis in case Taft and Gilbert still don't understand the law on this.) If you do not have an AZ ID or drivers license, just go to the MVD in Parker and get one because on the application you need only check the box and you are a legally registered Quartzsite voter. They will even give you a receipt. Then, you can vote at the polls for the recall election this spring, or contact the County Registrar in Parker and vote early or absentee...yes "good citizens" it's LEGAL! If you have an AZ license, but not with your Quartzsite address, then pay and have it changed at the MVD or you will end up having to vote a provisional ballot because your ID and voter address do not match. You can also stop by the registrar's office in Parker and fill out the form. I think Richard Garcia still lives to serve you!

  8. Too much bullshit, just put a seed in the ground water it give it sunshine and let it grow and dont worry about all the bullshit, smoke it or put it in your tea and tell the terrorists AKA police, government and ignorant people to mind their own business, stop acting like confused cave men, grow up and GET REAL. your life as a human being on this earth is precious and has VALUE you have the power so USE IT!!!!

  9. Amen to that! Although for a moment the thought crossed my mind that if Joe Winslow and Bob Kelley would stop "acting like confused cave men" then I would walk down Main Street in my "birthday suit"...but it would be a pointless gesture as I don't believe that Winslow and Kelley could evolve fast enough to impress Charles Darwin, and "naked book store man" Paul Winer parades around Town to the tune of "been there - done that" The only solution left is to vote in six "evolved" people with common sense. I believe the Mayor would be grateful for three or four, but the poor man shouldn't have to suffer with "cave men" any longer when he's only trying to do the job he was elected to do, within the constrains of the law.

  10. How can someone describe Town Manager Alex Taft service in office after keeping any Attorney like Pamela Walsma who is not qualified/centerfield in Municipal Law and is being sued for Malfeasance of Office? Lets not forget hiring PBS & J as the Town Engineers with the background of being found guilty of unlawful campaign contributions and illegal kickbacks!

    MALFEASANCE
    n. intentionally doing something either legally or morally wrong which one had no right to do. It always involves dishonesty, illegality or knowingly exceeding authority for improper reasons. Malfeasance is distinguished from "misfeasance," which is committing a wrong or error by mistake, negligence or inadvertence, but not by intentional wrongdoing. Example: a city manager putting his indigent cousin on the city payroll at a wage the manager knows is above that allowed and/or letting him file false time cards is malfeasance; putting his able cousin on the payroll which, unknown to him, is a violation of an anti-nepotism statute is misfeasance. This distinction can apply to corporate officers, public officials, trustees and others cloaked with responsibility.

    MISFEASANCE
    n. management of a business, public office or other responsibility in which there are errors and an unfortunate result through mistake or carelessness, but without evil intent and/or violation of law. Misfeasance is distinguished from "malfeasance," which is intentional conduct in violation of the law.

  11. Allegedly sued for malfeasance in office Desert Viper, but we know she was one of the 9 parties served individually with a notice of claim for $200,000 in a matter which DOES involve the Town. And speaking of such things, why did Pamela Walsma bill the Town for legal work involving Carol Kelley and the Quartzsite Senior Center (a private corporation)? And would anyone like to share the details of the current lawsuit filed June 10th, 2010 against the town by Norborn Felton? You should see the legal bills for that case!

  12. Felton case ain't gonna come cheap cause it's Supreme Court
